Problem

Students landing on the Power Batch page were unable to clearly understand the value of the Power Batch and why it mattered to them, resulting in confusion, low confidence, and hesitation in taking actions such as booking a demo.

Solution

We redesigned the Power Batch page to clearly communicate its value through structured storytelling and progressive content. By introducing state-aware layouts and contextual CTAs, the experience now guides users confidently toward actions like booking a demo.

Impact

Increase in demo class booking rate

Increase in demo class attendance.

What is Power Batch?

Power Batch is a premium learning program for grades 8–12, designed around small cohorts and a dual-teacher model to deliver deeper concept clarity and personalized attention to high paying capacity users.

Power batch is a 'premium' and more 'personalised learning' option compared to regular large batches of Physics Wallah

Defined a premium visual language for Power batch to reinforce its superior positioning in PW offerings.

LEAD GENERATION

Streamlined demo class booking and NSAT registration to capture leads and boost early engagement.

JOURNEY OTIMISATION

Adapt content and CTAs based on user status and actions to drive demo bookings and conversions.

Our North Star metric is to drive demo bookings and improve class attendance, ensuring students engage meaningfully with the Power batch.

While demo registration and attendance are key intermediate metrics, the ultimate measure of success is whether these engaged leads convert into paying students.

Confusion With The Old Design

Old designs were directly impacting our primary business goal

Our central hypothesis for revamp is that a clearer, more persuasive page will significantly increase the demo class registrations and attendance. But, the old designs were actively working against this

A Quick Research

To undersatnd the problem clearly we decided to do our research so

We quickly did usability testing of old designs to understand how users were interacting with it.

We saw how we were promoting power batch on youtube

We also went to online forums such as reddit, quora and our youtube channel to read comments

Info from Primary Research

Were able to understand all USPs through landing page but did not find value in it.

Did not find the price point worth it.

Users go to Youtube to watch orientation video of power batch

Users were looking for demo class of a particular subject.

Info from SeCONDary Research

User wrote- ‘can consider PB if there is no offline centre nearby’

User wrote- ‘1:1 interaction with teacher during class is a plus in power batch else most of the things are same as normal batches’.

Youtube - Shows reels about one shot videos of topic specific reels but doesn't pitch power batch at end of the video.

Insights we got

Users were looking for subjects instead of date / slot as their first decision factor in demo class booking

USPs were clear to users but the perceived value and how power batch can help them was missing

There was misalignment in communication on our promotion channels and product(app)

Our Solution is hidden in Story telling

Instant Clarity

Designed the first fold to immediately answer “What is Power Batch and why should user care?”

Usage of a hero video, clear USPs, and a simple comparison to help users form a quick mental model.

Build Confidence

Used videos testimonials and short-form reels of actual classes to build trust and credibility.

Detailed batch Usp to help students understand why Power Batch is the right choice for them.

Adaptive Journey

Designed a state-aware experience that adapts to user context, including first-time visitors, demo bookers, and users who missed a class.

Ensured the next step is always clear and relevant for each user state.

Key Deliverables

Redesigned the power batch landing page with the the auto play video and context establishing section.

Simplified the booking a demo class flow and converted it into to the point distraction less bottom sheet.

To improve demo class joining rate and conversion to paid batches we restructured the page to solve relevant goal.

Setting Up The Visual Style

The visual system is designed to create immediate focus and aspiration through high contrast, dark surfaces, and controlled light.

Premium gradients, aurora effects, and metallic accents are used to elevate perception while guiding attention to key actions.
